Marcellus Wallace once said:
"Pride only hurts, it never helps."

This morning, I must disagree. The Yankees demonstrated pride last weekend. They fought through NFL tactics on the basepaths, concussions and even multiple appearances by Luis Vizcaino.

For one weekend, they played like the team we expected. I know I'm obligated to throw in the usual caveats about being under .500, 12.5 games back, etc.

Forget about all of that...it is an undeniably good morning to be a Yankees fan.
