That's probably one of the best home runs that I've seen Jorge hit. There's a reason he's on the banner up top. :)

With tonight's win, the Yankees have overcome a 9 run deficit for only the fourth time in their illustrious history.

This would have been a heartbreaker of a loss but now, this can hopefully be the foundation of some good things to come. Thanks for the turnaround Jorgie. Get that ghetto booty around the bases! I've got no real insight right now and a fellow blogger will have the recap up soon but I couldn't help myself... what a game!

Great game! But we are going to need some of our starters to step it up and start putting some innings in to help the pen.

Great performance by Jorge. Really, it's great to see because Jorge is a great player that I think some take for granted. Good O, good D (great job blocking the plate - good cut off by Melky to Jeter to Posada, but awesome play at the plate by Jorge).

Jeter had an awesome game, as well. 4 for 5, 4 RBI, 3 R. Damon was great - 4 R.

Others: Bernie 2 R, 1 RBI, A-Rod 2 R, Cano 1 RBI... a good team offensive effort.

But, not to be lost in this is Cairo, of course. 2 for 5, 3 RBI for him tonight.

I was a little curious as to why Myers wasn't brought in instead of Villone in the 6th if you're going to use a guy just to try to get one lefty batter. Also, I would rather have seen Villone instead of Small but then again, I think that Small's pretty much done so there are certainly people who disagree with me on that one.

You've got to run Mo out there in the 9th, it's a home game so there's no chance of a save situation at that point, and if you lose the game, you lost with your best on the mound.
