08/31: Yankees Acquire OF Freddy Guzman from O's
That is the word according to
Bryan Hoch's Twitter page. The Yankees will give cash back to the Orioles in return. Guzman has struggled at the Triple-A level this season, splitting 82 games between Pawtucket (the Red Sox' Triple-A affiliate) and Norfolk, putting up a line of .219/.261/.289 and an OPS of just .550.
Correction: Guzman also played 13 games for the Mariners' AAA affiliate in Tacoma this season (82 games in the International League, 95 total).
