06/27: Matsui to DL
The Yankees made room on the roster for Sidney Ponson by placing Hideki Matsui on the 15-day DL, according to
ESPN. The move was made after the first game of today's doubleheader with the Mets and is
retroactive to June 23.
The Yanks also sent down Ross Ohlendorf after his rough outing this afternoon and called up Kei Igawa.
