08/07: The Shake Up Continues: Giambi Activated, Chamberlain Promoted; Cairo DFAed, Bruney Demoted

Jason Giambi was activated and Joba was promoted. To make room for them, Miguel Cairo gets the DFA and Brian Bruney gets sent down to Scranton.
Since July 31, we've added Jeff Karstens, Phil Hughes, Jim Brower, Jason Giambi, Joba Chamberlain and Wilson Betemit. That's a good lump of talent, I'd say. The cost? We traded Scott Proctor and have had to DFA both Mike Myers and Miguel Cairo. We've demoted Chris Basak, Colter Bean, Sean Henn and Brian Bruney in that span, as well.
