Jeter's BA has declined 60 points in 8 games (after an absolutely phenominal start) - why? Patience. He's getting pounded inside (as usual) but instead of laying of these pitches (many of them outside the strike zone) he is jumping at them and repeatedly grounding the ball to 3b and SS. First 21 games - 18 Walks and 9 Strikeouts. Last 8 games - 5 Walks and 10 Stikeouts. I've never seen Jeter hit better thn he did the first 3 weeks of the season but for some reason he has abandoned that patience.
